She had a lot of Magic Treehouse books already so I got her a high-numbered (37 (in a row?)) one on the hopes she didn't have it yet. And I was afeared she already had the Tales of the Odyssey but she didn't. I also got her a Choose Your Own Adventure book, an Encyclopedia Brown book and a book called "You Wouldn't Want To be At The Boston Tea Party" (to which she asked "why not?" and I had to hold my tongue not to say "it's just a bunch of scared white folks screaming about immigrants and death panels"). Sadly the bookstore did not have A Wrinkle In Time

And yes, bottledgoose you DO owe him a Grand Beating of the Highest Calibre for that one. I'm just glad I somehow was out of the splash radius for that one.
