are there any? I mean, I LOVE fantasy, but I honestly have never found a series that a) didn't bore the snot out of me b) didn't eventually devolve into either fluff or sexxytiems or both c) didn't indulge in the fetishization of dragons d) all of the above.

That said, I have several series I would beat people with until they read them, but I'm kinda curious what you consider a worthwhile series.
