Is there an actual census of attendees you can cite? Because Andee never said that there weren't ANY women in attendance (which is what your comment is strongly inferring from where I sit), just that the odds of gender parity seemed unlikely to her. Considering I have been attending conventions (general-interest and specialty) since 1984, and have NEVER seen anything that approached a 50/50 split, I'm inclined to agree with her, and not willing to be swayed by anecdata.
