And now a slightly realer post

...cause i'm 'crastinating hard from dealing with a messy kitchen and a bathroom that still needs a scrubdown. Not to mention the to-do list is rearing its ugly head again, as it does after a lazy weekend. Which this was. Between events that I will detail in a few, this weekend has mostly been dedicated to sleeping and marauding the Hunter Ocean. (though truth be told? I miss the Midnight. Just not willing to sub up cause if I'm gonna subscribe to anything right now it's gonna be WoW.)

Events of note between the unabashed sloth:

Friday: After [livejournal.com profile] anothermurray's tweet about buying a copy of Apples to Apples, I put out a call to people to come over and bring booze and board games. It ended up with a bunch of people in our living room being introduced to Lily and an extended game of Apples to Apples and hanging out until late. It was a good get-together, and Lly behaved herself rather admirably in a room full of loud boisterous people - rather than fleeing she stayed to play with offered mousies and the belt I mentioned before and even suffered herself to be petted and loved by most.

Saturday: Pretty much a lazy wash... [livejournal.com profile] cell23 and I decided to watch Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter, and yyyyyyyyeah. That was. Um. Something. We had to scrub it from our brains by trying out Parks and Recreation, which surprised both of us by being actually likable and funny despite it being shot in the same style as The Office, which I've gamely tried on multiple occasions and cannot get into. And then we went shopping and made steak and potatoes at 10pm, lol.

Sunday, also known as today: had to shovel myself out of bed early to make a 9am church rehearsal for bells, and also wake up [livejournal.com profile] aradiadiane in the process. The performance went pretty well (though not quite as good as rehearsal, isn't that always the way?) and I managed to get through it despite showing up completely uncaffeinated. I know. After that, came home, pie-ratted some, and had a three hour nap curled up with the cat. The evening didn't get productive until late this evening with cell23 out for Castlevania, and [livejournal.com profile] aradiadiane came over to have me help her braid a five foot hank of purple hair, and even so I haven't quite forced myself into the kitchen to clean up yet, which is weird cause normally I'm all about spotless kitchen but tonight? Do Not Feel It.

Tomorrow is technically a holiday, but since I'll be working from here and [livejournal.com profile] cell23 will be going to work, won't make much of a difference to me.

the cat remains an adorable pain in the butt.

So does [livejournal.com profile] cell23.

So life goes.

And now I'm out of procrastinatory measures. *sigh* kitchen time now.

But now you are a stronger person for having watched JC:VH. I hope there was alcohol consumed because that's just about the only way to get through it. Also, are you sure that your enjoyment of Parks and Recreation wasn't just in proportion to how bad JC:VH is? It can make anything seem better. :)

PS. Welcome to the club. Now go inflict it on others.

I freaking love Parks and Recreation. Just sayin'. I don't mind The Office, at least I didn't before this season, but I like Parks and Rec better.
