I hate my brain. Why is it when I have the time and the perfect environment to get something constructive done I don't feel like it, and when I finally psych myself into doing it, SOMETHING else I don't want to do comes up? ARRRRGH.
Time for more coffee. And then some serious brass tacks ball busting. Fuck this noise.
Also: NEW SIMON'S CAT OMG

back to Equi-librium...
Jul. 27th, 2009 07:40 pmSo Alé had an actual riding lesson today and Amanda and I tagged along with her to The Barn (as apparently everyone who is involved with Equi-librium calls it). About midway through the lesson, Amanda started teasing me about getting Michell (Alé's instructor) to stick me on a horse.
Yeah, I thought she was kidding. End of the lesson "Hey Michell, can Andee have a pony ride?"
I'm like... wtf.
"Mmmmmm... sure, Stick her on Beauty."
Beauty is a black former trail horse.
She's fourteen hands high at the shoulder.
I've never been on a horse in my life.
...yaaaaaaagh!
Five minutes and about six helmets later (my god, I have a big head), I'm being led around the barn on Beauty with Alé on one side of me and Amanda on another to make sure I didn't fall off, trying to make a very good show of not freaking out. And after a couple of slow laps around the barn, I relaxed and kinda got into it. By lap four I think I was in love.
One more thing for the endless bucket list - learn how to do that for real.
