anagramofbrat: (bee on the grape!)
For the few of you that don't have facebook or Twitter, I got to buffalo safely. Ran into some nasty weather in Albany but in general was a pretty uneventful drive. Spending tomorrow on last minute shopping and tonight working on the tapestry and being tormented with the Wendy Williams show. My sister has more questionable taste in TV than I do. How is that possible?

Long drives are good for the headnoise. I spent a good portion of the drive exploring my own crazy. Definitely ready to attack some stuff in my life head on, and put to rest something I was worrying over. Just gotta survive Christmas and new years... :)

Hey, it sorta has a face now! One of the reasons i ended up being so late getting out this morning was because I had to stop in Northampton for more beads; I was seriously runninng out. I have a bit of a reprieve too - the recipient of this isn't actually comming to Christmas, so I have some wiggle room around when to get this all done.

Also note to self - need to order a sample card for delicas. I'm enjoying the whole bead tapestry thing again, and want to play with a more complex one with more colors next.

Meat Loaf: Okay, you're getting up there in years. So... is a wasted youth truly better than a wise and productive old age?

The girl from the Ting Tings: So, what the fuck is your name anyway? (yeah I know I can look this up on wikipedia but considering the song? more fun to ask.)

Electric Six: so if I indeed sent something with a SASE to PO Box 900, Los Angeles, CA 90212, would I get anything back? (Seriously, I keep meaning to actually try this.)

What deep song inspired questions would you ask if you had the chance?

Okay after seeing the trailer for The Karate Kid, my childhood is nursing some severe butthurt, and I think I sprained my left eye from the sheer force of my almighty eyeroll after hearing that there's a rip-off of Repo: The Genetic Opera (only you know, without the opera) hitting theaters.

...really, Hollywood?

The family and all the kids have officially convened. All day today I've been sitting in Nuke's living room watching bemusedly as pre-Christmas chaos unfolded around me what with seven adults, five kids, two dogs, one or two blaring TVs and Nuke's ipod in its dock, also blaring. Its a little bit like sitting in the eye of the hurricane. *chuckle* Once again, I've been proven wrong - I often bitch and moan and cry and whine about having to go to family holidays, but I always am glad when I get there.

Currently we've bundled the kids downstairs to watch Elf, and the grownups and I (cause it don't matter how old I am, I never can quite call myself one of the grown ups, lol) are upstairs watching It's A Wonderful Life. It's been a day, what with the chaos and also running out to go shopping earlier, since Nuke lives around the corner from quite possibly one of the scariest examples of strip mall hell I've ever seen. Convenient today though - I have officially gotten all of my Christmas shopping done, lol. And, having had to take Vicki and Ruthy out shopping with me, I now am satisfied that after 25 years of being stuck in cars with them and being subjected to radio tyranny, revenge is a sweet sweet thing. Can't wait to have to shuttle Nuke somewhere. I've got some screamcore I'm saving up just for that occasion.

I've got presents left to wrap tonight, and of course, still slaving on the deer. Not sure what's under the tree for me since I didn't really ask for anything, but I look forward to watching how Dad and D.J. like their presents. And tomorrow, lots of people to call.

Hoping y'all have a good Christmas. <3
