huh

This week has been oddly busy/productive. Something, I think, has shifted in the brainmeat allowing this to happen, and I don't know how long it's gonna last, but I'm gonna ride it until it peters out. This is awesome because usually I can't stay grounded and on-task for more than 12 hours. But I've been varying levels of rah rah get shit done since Monday. Which makes me wonder if an anvil's about to drop.

Home from work today due to digestive ick, but still managing to get shit done, kick ass, take names, all that jazz.

I have a month of gratis to me WoW. It's nice hitting Azeroth again, I do find I miss it every three or four months or so. Last night was the first time I played my "main" in a supremely long time... slipping on that character felt like fitting into a favorite pair of pants again after a long hard diet - a little weird at first, but satisfying. Thinking of dusting her off for reals, respeccing her, and seeing if I can make the push to 70 before the month ends. What, it will only have taken me almost four years to get there, lol.

cell23 and I looked at a couple of places in Squire on Tuesday. "Pretending to be grow-ups" as he puts it. Yeah, I don't know still caught between squee and abject terror on that front.

2nd ep of DW... hmm, I like where this is going.

Bowser has horns. Hopefully by end of today he'll have a face. :)

Money continues to be stressful, but I did finally get around to doing my taxes and there are advantages to having a bad money year to the tune of about eight C-notes. Which will be good to have for the paying down of bills and such like.

I also has a sifter. This weekend THERE WILL BE PANCAKES.

I don't know... life continues apace and is weirdly good. Not gonna question too hard and run with it. Off to mail off some more PBS books and keep on trucking with the busy.

A kinda whoa realization

Part of this morning involved pinging three people that lived within a block of me to ask if I could run over and print my PBS wrappers for shit that had to get mailed today. Finally got a bite from another_murray on that, so after picking up delirium_deva's sifter, I got my shit printed and played with their overaffectionate cat for a bit before going on about my way.

Got me thinking about The Neighborhood as it were, this odd little nest of supreme nerditude, friends, and occasional drama. How I do have the option of finding at least six people at any given time within walking distance to be social with/borrow things from/do favors for. I really REALLY love that. It's all... I might have lost a family but I seemed to have accidentally a community.

Not a bad trade at all. :)
