Aug. 5th, 2010 01:23 am- finish beating that CSS until it cries uncle (so much for it being 3 hours of work, what, is it now 6+ and counting? sheeeeit.)
- finish up GG banner images
- play with those nice monkeys
- work on site redesign
- call Amastan Vicki and Dad tonight
- work on various programmy stuff
- EAT (cause ice cream is not dinner, fool!)
- pack up 2 more bookshelves
- cook for those nice monkeys
- deal with tying up loose ends with Boobyhaven
- get ANOTHER guarantor form from LaDonna (*grumble*)
- go through plastic drawers and sort through keep/toss stuff
- eat with those nice monkeys
- Watch Black Adder Season 2
- Call Comcast and WMECO and schedule transfer of service
- kick tires and check fluids before driving to PA on Fri
- laundry (maybe)
- find hair yarn to take with you this weekend so the hair is out of the way this month during move-related crap
- try really hard not to stress and freak out about EVERYTHING.
One nice thing about me being a spaztastic stressball this week is I've been talking. Out loud. About shit going on in my life. Not being cryptic, not being filtered, not worrying about what people think. Just being all OH HAI shit is really stressful right now, and occasionally these things are really really good and I'm not holding back my squee. And the world didn't end, or hate me, or judge me really. I really need to remember that more often than not, actually saying what shit is up does not result in horrible flaming ultimate destiny apocalypse. (reminds me - wonder if netflix has Utena...)
Been also having lots of long conversations with Amastan about the anxiety stupids and shit what freaks me out and coping with it. I really wish there had been some way of knowing this was all very super hereditary about five or six years ago (shit, college would have been fantastic even), but never mind. Learning it now, and glad for the intel. Hopefully once the fires are out and the move actually happens I can work on coping with it somewhat more effectively.
Other than the stressed bits of the day, and despite the swelter and the lies of weathermen (we've been forecasted scattered T-storms for the past three days... NOPE) I've been both super productive today and had an excellent evening with
deliriumdeva and
cell23 playing scrabble (that was probably the first real life game in like 20 years that I've won - maybe all that losing in Words with Friends is good for something after all?) getting and eating ice cream, and playing with Jerkface/Dickbag/Oliver. Kitties = less stress. Even if they're small and white and evil and bitey. Also had a lovely 45 minutes or so where I just sat on Boobyhavens back steps IMing with
11th_letter on the iPod and staring up into the stars. It was cooler out, with a minimum of bugs, so it was a nice thing to be able to do. I often forget how calming I find being out with nothing but infinity above me.
Still kinda want to fast forward through this month like whoa, but I do have to admit I'm much less stressed about it than I was six hours ago. And I'm looking forward to the trip to PA. I need the drive and the break.
Oh! verdict on whole wheat bread recipe... it either needs a shorter baking sequence or more yeast. I ended up with a cute widdle bread cube that was about half the size of the pan. We'll try again after some adjustments next week.
