I had quite the lovely evening being Dad's date for the ballet tonight.

It is very late as I type this, seeing as I'm wired both from my evening out and too much coffee. (I blame the Bailey's Hazelnut coffee creamer in the fridge - it is some delicious stuff.) I figure since I have to be out of the door at oh-god-why o'clock to catch the bus home, there's kinda no point to going to bed. Of course, I'm going to rethink this in two hours when the coffee's worn off because that's what always happens when I try to loop around the night before an early bus departure, but hey. Spending the meantime posting to LJ, working, and running the clothes I wore (read: sweat buckets into) this week through the wash. No point in carting home laundry to do if I don't have to, right?
Above and beyond the ballet it's been a good, if hot, day. Sweet buttery wireless means I got actual work done, I had another hilarious conversation with Faye this morning about everything and a good long one with Dad about my current issues with employment, money, Drew and other associated life crap, and also managed to spend a good chunk of my afternoon sending follow-up letters and applying to a few more places in between debugging some kind of access snafu on Murphy's website. Productive is a fruit. Thankfully it won't be nearly as hot tomorrow as it's been and provided I make this bus on time, I'll be home in the early afternoon so productive will continue being a fruit? One can always hope.
