Things what make me smile

Depressive days are the blurst. Therefore I present a list of things that made me smile within the last 24 and change hours.

• Last night was Bon Appetit Burlesque night! This months theme - durrr. Halloween! Aside from the usual banquet of bewbs for the eyes, the guy who runs it, Captain Elastico, came out dressed like Pinhead from Hellraiser in a latex dress covered in balloons and did this swishy striptease to "Tiny Bubbles" that ended... with his dick in a puzzle box. Girl.
  
  
• Kidzilla's still-gappy smile. Though her adult incisor has erupted into the space.
  
  
• Going to the library today and pulling books down off the shelves at random based on title intrigue. Came hope with six random books. Gotta fill up that bus ride to and from work.
  
  
• the cat crawling into my lap and going to sleep this evening - which caused ME to go to sleep.
  
  
• updating my goodreads profile (can't win the 50 book challenge if I don't log what I've read) and finding that two random people found and liked my review of the Riverside Shakespeare that I wrote a while ago when I was in a particularly snarky mood. Sarcasm will apparently win you everything on the internet.
  
  
• approaching peak leaf color around here. While not nearly as pretty as last year's crop of leaves, still... yay autumn!
  
  
• Apparently having MUCH better luck with this last coleus clipping. I don't know if it's putting its glass somewhere that's not the kitchen. or it being of heartier stock than the last three I tried to root from stolen clippings, or that I stole a bigger clipping than I usually do, or that I pinched it on my birthday (hey I'm allowed an occasional moment of irrational superstition) but I checked on it this morning and it's got a little starburst of roots sprouting so I'ma see about getting it into some dirt tomorrow and see if it survives phase II.
  
  
• Got Pantene for Negroes conditioner today for bogglingly cheap at CVS. Insert my usual snarky jokes about "specialty" hair care products (the curlsplode growing out of my head is pretty special, I won't lie), Jim Crow laws as expressed by shampoo bottles (that particular analogy is going to get some little white kid an A during Black History month someday), and wondering where exactly they found rabbits nappy enough to test this shit on.
  
  
• Drew being super sweet to me cause I'm feeling icky in the brainmeats.

Insanely busy day tomorrow between bells and games. I'd best get some sleep.
