Writer's Block: Idiocracy

I never did get the appeal of the Stooges. Cartoon logic doesn't really work in live action, no matter how many sound effects you dump into the soundtrack.

In terms of classic B&W comedy I'm more of a Lucy, Marx Bros or a Honeymooners sort of girl. I like my silly to have a point and maybe a story.

I had a whole long rant about what I WOULDN'T do if by some act of God I won the lottery (hell, I will neither confirm nor deny my intent or my actuality of even buying a ticket for tonight's drawing) but I deleted it, because it pretty much boils down to one thing, which is that I would keep my life as it currently is as much as possible. I'm a creature of habits and hate change like whoa, and I don't see a whole mess of money changing that any. I mean, I wouldn't throw accidental financial security out of bed for eating crackers or anything, but I'm also not the sort that's going to be all WHEE MONEY I'M GONNA BUY ALL THE BENTLEYS AND HOOKERS AND BLING EVER.* But... you know what I mean? I don't need or really want a cubic fuckton of money. It would be nice to have the one luxury of never having to worry about it again, but it would take less than 1% of the current ridiculous jackpot to take care of that and then some.


* Bentleys are ugly ass cars anyway, I have no use for bling other than the one piece of jewelry I already wear all the damn time and... okay, you know what, I would probably visit the Bunny Ranch at least once just to say I did.
