Seems we're not due to start riding the crazy train until about 2-3 ish.

Meantime, Christopher Belmont has a head:

My left index finger is sore like whoa. YESSSSSSSSSS, REFORM, MY BEADING CALLUS OF DOOM! I haven't seen you since high school.

It's going much faster now. I've found a groove, and have discovered that with good music or a movie going, I get pretty quick with this. There may be hope for the bigger projects. Course lets get through this one first, lol.

Wellp, back to weather channel fuelled paranoia. Oh, and I should probably have breakfast.

Oh gods, its NaNo time again. Also known as Andee feels incredibly guilty for not writing jack for a month.

But seriously. I'm not actively participating this year, but I will be dedicating some time in amidst the rest of my to-do list to work on Guardians and Gods, which seems to be the current working title of the story I've been nibbling at lately, if only because the guys at Drinktank seem to like it. I've been doing a lot of thinking about the characters and where exactly they're all going, plus had a couple of breakthroughs this week regarding some plot points and character development that had been bothering me since the beginning. (Those were some productive showers...)

Well, anyway. In November, I am determined to make Significant Progress on that front. Not 50,000 words worth, but Significant. Whatever that means.

Other than the news coverage and it being a bit gustier than usual, life in the Squirebubble today was pretty indistinguishable from any other rainy day. So far only one brief power blip. We'll see what happens overnight.

Spent much of this evening anticipating storm pickup over at avalon616's in a sort of impromptu hurricane party. There was some grumbling about how up here, Sandy didn't have much of an effect, but I think we can all be thankful none of us are at sea level in New York/New Jersey at this exact second. It's getting a bit gustier out there and probably will be quite windy overnight, so I think we'll eventually go down for power at some point, but today, all things considered, was very quiet.

My family in NYC, PA and DC/MD are all fine, though Amastan and Ale are power-less and Vicky and co lost their internet and phone service. There has been a lot of texting back and forth and checking in throughout the night. Even though mine are safe, the pictures coming out of lower Manhattan and some areas of Brooklyn are still on some level viscerally disturbing to me. Not sure what all is up, but it seems whenever something major goes down in NY I get somehow more massively homesick than normal. Or maybe its a form of survivor guilt, knowing that shit and flooding is going down in a place that a good percentage of me still calls home while I'm up here safe, and that seeming somehow wrong, even though I wouldn't want to be anywhere near any of this. But yeah. I guess even though we haven't physically been all that affected by the storm up here, I'm having... FEELS... about it.

Wellp. We'll see how and where we are tomorrow.
