Good, bad, eh
Dec. 20th, 2012 08:02 amThe Bad ('cause there isn't too much of it):
Still have the Vague Plague. Honestly it's worsened past that point but I like the terse verse so much I'm sticking with it. I am however, quite over being sick, it sucks. Especially the "I AM PHLEGMA DESTROYER OF FUNCTIONALITY" stage, which I appear to be hitting. Also pinkeye sucks so hard. Ye gods the eyeball ooze.
The Good:
First paycheck in almost 3 months. It's not quite a thing of beauty that will last forever, but I will be able to do things like shop and pay the cable bill. I've also made some tentative plans regarding spending and budgeting and saving for the new year - I've said this before, I know, but man I really do need to learn to get a hold of my money.
Had a lovely evening with the Manbeast,
drowningdeep and
faeryslave last night - there was unexpected Hobbit (appropriately so, I feel) and then diner afterwards, since they're lovely about taking some off your meal if you bring in your ticket stubs and letting you eat your weight in ham without too much eyebrow raising. (oh, PMS.) I did enjoy the movie, despite its flaws - and it had a few, no mistake - and no, we didn't see it in 3D. The parts of the movie clearly designed for that were dizzying enough, thank you.
Job continues to go. I'm settling into it.
Beads continue to make me happy.
There is Mischief and Misbehavior afoot (the good kind) which I can't really decrypt for everyone yet. But anything in my life that makes me go

is a bonus.
The eh:
Still not really feeling the holidays this year. Methinks in order to do so, one has to not be broke, lol. Well, one of the money goals for next year is to, well, comfortably afford Christmas next year, we'll see how that goes. Meantime, I'm a little stressed about the Vineyard next week, but mostly looking forward to it seeing as the usual target on me has moved to
cell23. Hooray for Browne family hazing. I repeat:

And now I gotta get out the door and catch a bus, whee.
