aersi! Not only was her party on Friday rocking, but ... wait, I had an end to that sentence and I lost it.
Side note: it was a potluck party and I forgot this until the last minute. Usually for big parties I make cheddar biscuits, but I didn't actually have cheese in the house so I had to improvise. I ended up with a sweet whole wheat cinnamon biscuit that turned out surprisingly tasty. The hilarious part is I walking into the party with the baking dish full of biscuits and didn't even make it to the food table to put it down before nearly the entire party mobbed me for one. I am apparently the biscuit wizard. But hey, I now have two decent party biscuit recipes, though I think if I make the cinnamon ones again I'll make some sort of whipped flavored butter thing to spread onto them. - Saturday: the kids are over and the weather was a little iffy so we took them out to the library for the afternoon, after which cell23 drove me out to Northampton to drop me off for other engagements, one of which I didn't end up making it to. still this allowed for all of us to have dinner together at Sam's. These kids are obsessed with tortellini pizza. But dinner together is always nice.
Bid the Tatros goodbye and then onwards to kitten for the Bon Appetit Burlesque Pajama Party, which is always crazy and tiring and a great time. I utterly love the people running it every month and all of the performers are so sweet. One of these days when I'm a little braver and less busy I'll actually put together one of the six routine ideas I have and actually perform it, but for now, stage kittening certainly scratches my high school drama stage manager itches. - Today also looks like a busy one with the kids as Lil'Beast desperately needs new sneakers and there's a family trip to the frosty tentatively planned for later depending on kid behavior. I also treated myself to a little home improvement this week, and bought two corner shelves for our room to relive the mess on my desk a little bit. I got one up successfully yesterday and will likely get around to getting the other one up later on today. Well I hope so at least. I also want to get to Annies to at least get a few things for this year's garden. Thinking of keeping it small due to budget and lateness this year, but I do want to at least have a few things in this summer - herbs, maybe some cherry tomatoes, chard and peppers, maybe some pea plants too. We'll see. I'm behind on doing my books this week so I may put off the Annies trip until I make myself sit down and catch up with that. And the omnipresent bead and work projects abide, of course.
Wellp, long past time to get dressed and meet the day head on.
