spent yesterday with the [livejournal.com profile] jaicat, part of it with the Hobiecat (no one really calls him Hobart anymore, but there are too many people named Chris out there that read this... kinda how there is a rash of Andys around here) and finished it off hanging with [livejournal.com profile] aersi and a little bit [livejournal.com profile] verbena76... was a good day.

Went to the car brothel again yesterday, probably for the last time until I actually get Hanzo-san. I has a Kia Spectra. Not a huge fan, though I will freely admit that this one shifts far more smoothly than the Nissans. Was gonna return it today but that's a whole big chunk of my day gone if I do getting back to the Sunderland on the bus. ugh. I might call it in and hang onto it until closing time, at least then I'll be off the work clock. Meh. I really haven't decided yet.

Why is it that every time I attempt to go to the Eric Carle Museum something arises to prevent me? Grrr. This time it was "CLOSED UNTIL SEPT 18 FOR MANTENANCE." Sigh. Also did not get to see Ponyo again yesterday because the internet lies and told us it was playing in South Hadley when it was actually playing in Amherst. Mmmhmm. Still, can't complain... it's always good to see and hug and sort of ogle Hobie, who is still pretty huggable and yummy after a decade of acquaintance, though seeing him without the beard is still rather a readjustment. And it was definitely well accented with good food, as Jai and I hit India House and Atkins. And yeah, we missed Ponyo, but it did put us in town in time to pick up aersi at work. Serendipity for the win.

It's been too long since I got to sit and hang with Jai and talk with her. There was much relationship angst downloaded yesterday that I think needed to happen... under the manic antics, [livejournal.com profile] jaicat is always a good source of quiet thoughtful perspective, plus she's one of the few people that can go back far enough to see the beginning of C and I, so she has a bit of a unique slant on things. So there was a lot of that, peppered liberally with reminiscing about [livejournal.com profile] harinezumi "contemplating the chaos." (It's a long story, so I'm not going to tell it, but the memory was good for a straight hour of giggling.)

We all kinda punked out on karaoke since death plague had claimed [livejournal.com profile] cell23, laryngitis had [livejournal.com profile] jaicat, and migraines/seizures Cara, so jai and I ended up chilling at [livejournal.com profile] aersi's at the end of the evening, watching The Fifth Element (which still remains one of my favorite movies and is the best of the Milla Jovovitch Saves The World movies) and spoiling Bean. Oh the yummy of large fuzzy lap cats. Ran [livejournal.com profile] jaicat back to Hobie's in Northampton, stopped to be amused at impromptu lawn decor courtesy of another household they're apparently having a friendly rivalry with (made me miss the antics of Lamont vs. Talbot back in the day), and had some lovely quiet highway time on the way back to think about stuff... One of the things I'm definitely looking forward to when I get Hanzo-san nailed down is having the option of hitting the highway at 2am for no other reason than just having a long quiet drive under a clear starry night. It really does do wonders for the head.

Coffee now.

*scratches head*

I don't think I remember that one anymore. Going senile at the ripe old age of 31. Orz.

Rings a bell, but don't quite remember the context. Prozac is a hell of a drug.
