There are NERDS in my kitchen.
Its the usual suspects, so it's not like there are NEW, DIFFERENT nerds. But they're here because
cell23 is running the first session of the D&D game he's been working on since being infected with GM fever at PaxEast.
I recognize that I'm a weird one - I turned down his invite to actually play for two reasons. One is for exactly what happened after I did, which is
cell23 bouncing behind the scenes ideas for his suckers players off me all month. I like having privileged info. The other is that I've always liked the sounds of nerditude as background noise. One of those surprisingly pleasant holdovers from people running games at Camp Amoeba that I wasn't playing in, but liked listening to.
In other news, its actually been one of my good days, rated on mental clarity and the sheer amount of shit accomplished. Pleased about this but not resting on my laurels, as I still have work what needs doing and laundry to fold and put away. Still. It was mostly a good day and I'm pleased about that. We'll see what tomorrow brings, but I'm cautiously optimistic about it. :)
