Show reels from two of the visual effects houses that worked on Game of Thrones. The first one is spoilerrific if you've neither seen the series nor read the books.
Why yes, I'm totally the girl who buys super special extended anniversary edition DVD sets (or would if she had money) precisely so I can watch all of this sort of stuff and watch the show with commentary, why do you ask? No really, I totally love "behind the scenes/how we made this" footage. Sometimes more than the actual show itself. The only reason I have even a remote interest in getting a blu-ray player next time I have the scratch is so I can get more features on the DVDs; i don't really give that much of a rats ass about HD.
Speaking of which, I'm getting a hankering to watch Rome again. Anyone want to watch it with me? I bring the TV, you bring the DVDs and something to play them on. I also kinda want to rewatch Twin Peaks since it's on Netflix but the only proper way to do it is with a crowd of friends, a pot of coffee and boxes of high quality donuts and pies. Interest?
