Oh crud, it's that time again

So it's that month.

I'm not bothering with it this year, mostly because I know what's gonna happen - I'm going to go with it for three days and get distracted. But I will, instead, devote the month to other things, like work and playing with squirrels. That seems like a worthy alternate activity. We'll see where I am time, headspace and otherwise this time next year.

I'm not doing NaNo this year either. Usually, whatever story I do write turns into complete shit, especially in the last two weeks of the month because OMFG I HAVE SO MUCH TO DO AND NEED TO MAKE MY WORD COUNT FOR TODAY!!!! As my sister-in-law wisely told me, if I want to get published somewhere, I should take my time and do it right...not dash something off in a month.
