I thought I'd posted something this morning while the parade was on (cause I was, as per usual, parked three feet from Monstervision watching the whole thing and clowning it on Twitter. (Today's Tvity post is going to be lollarious.) but I guess I never hit post. cell23's grandparents' Thanksgiving table and the parade isn't too incredibly inane I'll post it later.
Anyway saying I had a good T-day was a bit of a, well, understatement seeing ascell23, with his impeccable timing, completely derailed a round of "everyone around the table say what you're thankful for" by stating he was thankful that we managed to live together for over a year without me murdering him and did I want to keep going with that? while waving a small white box with a ring in it in my general direction.
NGL, I don't think I remember enough about the actual food after that to report on what I ate or how good it was. Actually I think I had to be reminded that I actually had to SAY "yes," before I did, lol. Squee does not count as a proposal acceptance.
So um, yeah, That happened. Still squeeing a few hours later.
While there is no way in hell it's going over my knuckle without assistance, it's still a wee bit spinny around my finger proper so gonna see about picking up a ring guard when the black friday zoo calms down a bit. Christ, my fingers are dinky.
Anyway, both our families are ridiculously excited (I could hear Dad grinning across two states through a phone line, my sibs are all besides themselves, Kidzilla did that thing where she doesn't say anything but her eyes get real big and she starts giggling a lot behind her hands, and I swear to god, cell23's mother literally DANCED with squee and fussed at him for not doing this sooner), I'm still a wee bit shellshocked, and cell23 is complimenting himself, no doubt, on a proposal well done. At some point I'm sure I will personally explode into cat 1 freakout but for now I'm limited to random bouts of EEEEEEEEEEE! and fidgeting with the shiny. I mean, I won't lie, I did have a pretty good idea this was coming, but the actual event itself still hit me like a wet sack of squee cement.
I would say that's something to be thankful for, eh?
