I already posted the pic of Lily and the iPad a few days back, no need to repost it, right?

One thing about freak early snowstorms is it kinda flash freezes the leaves still on the trees at the time, and as a result they suddenly become weebles. They never quite fall down. Makes for neat pictures though.

This is the stairwell connecting Burton and Sabin Reed Halls At Smith. The entire thing looks very surreal to me, like something out of a Myst game. Alas, I bolluxed up the focus on the Hatemonger so most of the shots I took were unuseable. Seemed like a good day to mess with Picasa filters.

And one fun B&W of the Academy.

7 am is EARLY. Especially on UMass campus.

Yeah I know it's very similar to the other Christmas lights shot I took last month. Bite me.

Took this sitting waiting for the bus in Amherst. Think i did a decent job capturing the purple sunset in the background. Also found out that sometimes a little bit of flash fill is your friend, as long as there isn't a looming white wall to cast shadows on.

Really, did you think you WEREN'T getting a kid picture?
So far last week I've learned that the Hatemonger and I have become a little estranged - I'm no longer used to the calibrate, focus, take picture routine, and so mistakes happen, like the other day at Burton and a little later on in the week when I found that the white balance on a bunch of pictures was profoundly messed up. Need to kinda spend a little time relearning the camera, how to accommodate light levels, etc etc.
meantime I've taken two shots for this week with Sikudhani and I've pretty much decided that it sucks for still photos. So. Much. Grain. I swear, the camera on my old sony ericcson phone was a crapton better. Between that and the price point, I'm certainly thinking twice about the whole iphone thing. Any insights on any android smartphone camera quality, internet?
