I followed the link, and it is, indeed, hilarious.

May I add, though, as far as readership increase mechanisms go? Your tags ALONE are worth the price of admission.

[livejournal.com profile] realmjit sent me a signed copy of Goblin Quest as a birthday present a while ago; I didn't start reading his journal until fairly recently, and I've clearly been missing out. This post was awesome all on its lonesome, but the fact that he started with one of his own covers endears me to him still further.

Definitely check out his Top Blog Posts of 2011 entries; there are reasons those got the most hits - some of them hysterical, some of them thought-provoking, and occasionally (like the entry above) both.

So, Jim is awesome in many, many ways. His willingness to do things like this is definitely near the top of the list, yes. But he also recently wrote a really fantastic post for Apex about writing responsibly about rape in fiction,, and he actually used to do rape counseling work. His princess series is fairy tale princess plus BADASS AWESOME SHIT and is super fun and awesome and still deals with serious things seriously. His goblin books are silly and funny and anyone who likes D&D (BY THIS I MEAN YOU) will love them to pieces.

I've followed him for years and just really like him.
