1) Is there anywhere you'd like to see a map of, and any particular period? I'll post a pretty, if I've a close match.
Do you have any maps of America that actually have an approximate location of Nurembega on them? Interested for a writing project.
2) Is there anything new that's worth reading in the sword & sorcery field, that you know of?
Sword and sorcery isn't really my wheelhouse, alas, so I don't have too many selections. I enjoyed what books of Raymond Feist I've read, especially Magician. I tend to like books that turn that genre on its head better - Simon Green's Blue Moon Rising + the Hawk and Fisher novels are very enjoyable, if hard to fucking find. I recently discovered Jim Hines, whose Goblin Quest was also an amusing/quick read.
3) What venues in Northampton are friendly for unknown indie rock and/or punk from out of town these days?
Pearl street, the Elevens… That's about all I know about. Not really on the indie rock circuit. Hell it's been forever since I've seen live music anything.
4) I'm in a rut of not really recording that much of anything. Got a song you'd like to hear me cover?
Resisting really hard the urge to yell "freebird."
Okay for poops and major ha has, cover Lily Allen's "Smile" or "Not Big."
5) When are you back in NYC? We oughtta have beer, or a geek game evening, or suchlike.
Not sure, but I'll put the word out when I do. I tend to come down to the city and not leave The House the entire week I'm there. Old habits die hard.

Re: Books HOkay, that's a list: Thanks!
Raymond Feist, Magician; Simon Green, Blue Moon Rising + the Hawk and Fishe
Jim Hines, Goblin Quest.
Lily Allen? I do not know these musics and will listen, to see if this is possible.

Date: 2012-03-29 09:01 pm (UTC)From:Norumbega shows up first looking like it belongs on the Hudson, but as settlement progressed, "Norumbega" kinda crawls northwards up the coast. By the end of the 17th century it's way up in what would become Maine.
