ICON RESURRECTION. I have to redo this one, since it's clearly from the kjpepper era, but it will do for now.

Can't say today was very productive, really. It sort of was? but not in any departments that truly needed doing, so I'm a little grumpy about it. Only a little though. Things DID get done, and other things will as well. Slow progress is still progress and tonight's not over by any means.

I did get something done that I'm happy about through. One of the more hilarious moments I had over last week at the Vineyard was discovering quite by accident that Alejandra shares my love of really really cheesey dancepop by way of her putting "Barbie Girl" on in the car on our way back to Nuke's from Gay Head. Much to Stanley's horror (he was driving) both of us sang the whole thing at the top of our lungs, and then I was all "SO I HERD YOU LIKE BAD EUROPOP" and introduced Ale to Toy-Box and Günther. She loved it. Stanley was... somewhat less thrilled, especially since Alé and I kept going "OHHH, YOU TOUCH MY TRALALA" at each other for the rest of the week.

Anyway, I promised to send her a CD full of this shit, so tl;dr - for the first time in forever, I am hardcore mix making - planning CD length and flow and errthang. I may actually dust off mixmeister and actually mix transitions and shit. It's been a damn long time, but I'm having fun with it. We'll just ignore how I'm procrastinating from cleaning and wedding stuff, k? K. *

In other music news, I have been picking up a fair amount of recent (by which I mean 2009, lol) club music by way of Pandora, other people's parties/weddings and even a couple of songs from my family this week. (I now know how to Wobble, Baby.) I think if I played the line dances I know in order I'd have a good half an hour cardio workout. XD And tonight cell23 has horrified introduced me with to PSY, which... you know what, I'ma just leave the video right here.

What is going on in this video i can't even wtf what is that horsie trot dance and I know what he's saying but it sounds like Hoppin' Condom Style which makes about as much sense as the rest of the video and WHY IS THAT GUY CROTCH THRUSTING IN THE ELEVATOR *head explodes*



This kid does not give fuck number one.

Anyway between the above and this video, I think I'm in love with this guy. Also I think I'd like to visit Seoul someday. Something about the location shots he keeps using in his videos really appeals to my city-love.

Anyway. I should at least finish picking up the bedroom floor before bed. :P

* look, I did make a valiant effort to do productive stuff in that department but was thwarted by places being closed and people having the day off, okay?

PSY is amazing. There's so many moments to love in that video. The kid, the horsey dance, the part where random trash is being blown at them and one of the women tries to get it out of her mouth and is clearly about to start cracking up, the elevator dude, the explosion with the two dudes diving out of the way in the most telegraphed way possible. To top it off, the text under the video, about how this song is going to penetrate the deepest core of philosophy or whatever. Truly a modern genius.

I was also introduced to Psy this week, and LOOOVED it. It has been popping into my head at the weirdest times, too. No I won't tell you how weird, just use your imagination.
