State of the wedding

Final guest count in. I have two or three people still trying to make it, but at this point I'm less worried about subtractions and more worried about additions. Final count well under budget. Aww yeah.

Met with Lesley last night with cell23. Need to compile list of portraits to be taken.

NEED TO ORDER RINGS. holy crap. At this rate we're going to be using ring pops and cracker jack prizes.

Going to NYC this weekend to visit Dad. As I jokingly said on Monday, "Okay, will bankrupt you on Friday then." (not really. This wedding is coming in surprisingly reasonable.)

Picking up my dress this afternoon from the tailor's and bringing it back to the Store until deliriumdeva picks me up for Adventures In Wedding Cosmetics at Sephora. This will allow the ladies in User Support to coo over it. This amuses me.

Need to order stockings, goddamn it. And my shoes. I think this weekend is just going to be "Hey Dad, just gimme your Amex for the weekend..." >_<

Wedding party is now back to even, as I've lost two kids in it. Not sweating this. Less people to wrangle day of.

Girl bachelor thing set for next saturday! Thanks for organizing that, aersi!

People from out of town more or less settled, thanks to a pretty sweet hotel deal going at Priceline. Still waiting on a couple of people to get back to me with travel plans.

There's other stuff to do (centerpieces need to be planned/played with, tasks the day before and day of need to be delegated, etc) but it's coming together. Mainly my source of stress right now is getting everything paid for, but hopefully most of that will be alleviated during the trip home.

I urge you to buy comfortable shoes! I caved into my Mom's prodding and bought horribly uncomfortable but pretty shoes and regretted it through the prep, ceremony, and photo taking. During the reception, I kicked them under the table and no one noticed. Forgive me if I've mentioned this before, but it's something I feel strongly about. ;)

That said, YAY! I'm so excited for you, too! :D

I'm actually hoping to talk Dad into getting me a pair of these (http://www.thefryecompany.com/womens-boots/view-all/76321/campus-lug-lace?color=BLK). I am never going to have as good of an excuse to spend that kind of money (mine or anyone else's) on footwear ever again and these are pretty much EVERYTHING I ever wanted in a boot.

Yeah i'm pretty much all the FUCKNOS about uncomfortable shoes. The worst I'll do is a 3" stacked heel but only if i plan to be sitting about looking pretty, not walking or dancing.
