Yesterday:
Much of it was spent hanging with
deliriumdeva,
drowningdeep and Meg, gradually joined by
cell23 and
renegadethumper. There are things afoot hitting me in the residual post-amoeba poly feels, but nothing like as bad as I expected in terms of my own ability to deal with it. There was mulled cider, and ABC, and Crank 2, which.... that is certainly a movie, y'all. It has a special terribleness. A so very special terribleness. I am also convinced that judging by their love of this movie both Tatro boys were dropped on their heads as infants.
Worked on the Witch. Remembered why I left it alone for almost a year - casting off sucks.
Today:
I've had an ancient copy of Creative Suite 3 hanging around for a while... found it this morning and installed it. Yay having InDesign back! Spent today laying out thank you cards and announcements, but hit a roadblock printing them. Definitely running low in the ink department. Le Growl. Also watched a few episodes of RuPaul's Drag Race (I have... opinions about that show, and yet I can't stop watching it), brought the strawberries and impatiens in because we have another frost warning tonight, and made dinner. Also played a bit of warcrack in there as well as finally getting around to restyling my LJ. I love how any incorporation of space photography into a web design brings the 1999 Geocities realness, lol. It's not done by any measure, but it looks a lot less like a hot mess than it did. Next stop, my actual web site.
Incoming packages today: 3 shirts I ordered for
cell23 to replace 3 that had worn holes in the elbows, a wedding present from the McGurks (Rome! THIRTEENTH!), and applesauce from
lysscat made from some portion of the cubic crapton of apples I had on all the tables for the wedding. Nomz.
Tomorrow:
Errandry to Northampton, Hadley and Amherst, since I need moar little envelopes from the Guild, printer ink, juice, and to pick up my library holds. This also seems like a good day to visit UMass HR and drop off updated resumes and reference contacts.
In general:
Ho hum, life has pretty much returned to normal. Have not killed the husband yet. I figure if we make it to 14 days with no post-marital murder, we've got a pretty good chance of making it for the long haul.
Cats remain pains in my assholes.
Right now:
I think I need fruit punch.
