anagramofbrat | Hey ho, wind and rain

Drew and I have laid in emergency supplies, removed all things blow-aroundable from our "backyard" and moved River to the side of Squire's parking lot without trees. Really all I'm expecting is torrential rain, wind, and probably the power getting knocked out for a while, but nothing like as bad as last year's freak Halloween storm where we were out power for a few days and it sssssuuuuuuccccckkkked. And certainly not ice, but the frozen tree is my only bad weather icon. :P

This is one of those times where I am especially thankful for the Squirekids. While I don't plan on playing in the emergency power loss one-shots that are being planned by members of our weird little tribe, I am happy for the unusual density of friends and practical family within open-the-window-and-yell distance. Not only does it make carpooling, cat-sitting and borrowing stuff easy, but in cases of emergency like this, there is safety, comfort, warmth, and booze in numbers, and I couldn't have cherry picked a better group of people to be stuck in stupid weather with. Seriously.

Anycrap. If there's an interruption in bead yammer in the next few days assume our power's down. But we're gonna be fine, so no worries, k? K.
