anagramofbrat: (old school tetris)
There was a surprise in with the usual Entertainment Weekly, bills and other notices when [livejournal.com profile] cell23 brought in the mail tonight:

IT'S SO CUTE! I CAN'T STAND IT! EEEEEEEE! I also have no blessed idea who sent this to me. Please fess up so I can thank you properly. Because it is so cute and perfect and exactly everything I ever wanted in a pincushion and I'm so utterly gobsmacked with gratitude that someone found it for me.

Also thank you guys for the comments left on my picture thing. It seems to have mostly survived the first round of tests, though I'm going to have to tweak the style sheet for ipads and other tablets (the lines end up being too long for the box and wrapping, and we cant have that - also the lightbox totally breaks. Something to futz with later.)

In other news I have been introduced (and appropriately sort of horrified) by another item in the long list of New England Food Things I had no idea existed before leaving New York. Tonight's entry was the Steak Bomb, which I'd never heard of before tonight. Cue the obvious need to sing "steak bomb, steak bomb, you're my steak bomb" all damn night. Now imagine cell23 singing it while doing a strange dance that involves lots of smarmy butt wiggling. Congratulations! You've just visualized my life. I also rather liked [livejournal.com profile] head58's rebuttal via twitter: "We are Steak Ba-Bomb and we're here to make you feel fat and stuff one two three four!"

Wait, I have a blu-ray player now. Explain to me why I do not yet own Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Lawd. I must fix this.

What else is going on... OH. Pretty damn sure [livejournal.com profile] htl_1126 is in the process of squeezing a human the size of a watermelon out of her body right now. Wishing her and Seth luck and strength and early congratulations and more eeeeeeee!

We have kidlets this weekend... nothing huge planned as yet. Maybe a long overdue trip to the library?

I leave you with a youtube of a parrot singing "What What In The Butt," because ROFL.

I'm a #9 guy, but the occasional Steak Bomb is very good.

Did the Valley get a d'angelos? We have them on the Cape, but I don't remember one in the Valley from my time there.

We have a couple here and there (notably one on King St. in Northampton). Unfortunately they tend to suck at best (except for their soup) and be vectors of horrible food poisoning at worst.

Riases hand...
