Man when did writing in LJ become one of those things I procrastinate from? And things keep happening UGH LIFE QUIT BEING INTERESTING
So what all's been happening. I kinda wanted to wax rhapsodic about each thing, but eh.

Because WHOOO PRIDE AND RAINBOWS N SHIT. And bears. So many bears.

Even the Stonewall horses were fab.

And the day wouldn't be complete without me getting my picture taken with this year's Ms. Diva America.

Note: I am not a short woman. That crown alone was perilously close to qualifying this lady for the NBA draft.
So what's not going on in these pictures - I spent Pride with the husbeast and
avalon616 first watching the parade together, then stopping by Modern Myths for Free Comic Book day, then heading to the Pride event at the fairgrounds. It was overall quite the fantastic day, and even running into the ex's husband with their issue managed to not spoil the day entirely. :/ I was just moody for a while afterward because Feels.
SO they got the good karaoke company back at the bar up the street, which has gone through a renovation and yet another name change. (I'm just gonna call it The Snowzee Os.) A bunch of us suited up and rolled out, and after I hugged the DJ and squee'd at seeing her again (she's really cool) we settled in for singing and oh god so much drinking. I lost count at 5 rum/coke/grenadines. Stupid cheap bar. Stupid shit alcohol tolerance. But! Fun was had and their karaoke catalogue is online so next time we go I can just march up and be all like I WANT TO SING THIS MAKE IT SO without wibbling for an hour not knowing what the hell to sing beforehand.
The following day was not a good one in the headmeats for anyone involved. Cheaply priced alcohol is the goddamn devil. We're thinking either
deliriumdeva got sick or food poisoned that night, because she was sick beyond hangover point for much of Thursday as well and ended up hanging out with me for much of it. I ended up driving her down to her school so she could get to her final because I was worried about her driving back while shaky. Alls well that ends well, she got to take her final, I got to go on an adventure and also see her school, and some bonus time with her and her husband was had, along with pizza. Moral of evening- $3 drinks are dangerous.

Because know your history, mofos.
kidding aside, the kids loved The Quarters. Another field trip might be in order. And they've got some new machines in, including Arkenoid (EEEEEEE) and Paperboy (which is stupid hard as a cabinet game!), AND they fixed The Addams Family pinball table so other than occasional ball sticking problems (hurr hurr shuttup) playing it was a joy.
And then we all went for froyo and

Oh Wee Beastie. Never change. XD
And after all that I had to run off to kitten Burlesque. This month's theme was the Pastie Punch-out - 12 pro's competing for prizes. The show was amazing as everyone brought their A game plus extra credit. Best of all, there was almost no setup for the acts and I was working with people that can do this kitten thing in their sleep so it was just a very low stress enjoyable evening. And I looked cute, even if the lingering mug of Wee Beastie doesn't seem to agree:

It's a wig, no one freak out. I didn't have time to deal with my hair for the show, so under Mom's wig it went.
Aside from a lovely lunch at
cell23's grandmothers' and a card from the kids, it passed with relatively little acknowledgment or angst. Progress, considering this used to be The Most Hated Holiday of Holidays for me. Everyone gets one.
FUCK YOUR NEED TO FORNICATE ALL UP IN MY BREATHING SPACE TREES THANKS
I ordered a package of Small Necessary Things last week; they arrived piecemeal throughout the week. Amid the desperately needed new charge cables and earbuds for my phone, and the batteries for the cat toys, we have:
a) new hair yarn!

OMG I don't know when precisely I'll have time to do my hair, but I AM SO EXCITED. (The color is called "chili" and of course I love it, so naturally that means Red Heart has probably already discontinued it.)
b) new captive bead rings!

Getting these back into my piercings though OMG OW, especially the second one in Left Ear. That hole has always given me problems; in fact it's been punched twice so far and it's still recalcitrant. And my lobes are a slightly less sore but discharg-y mess a day later. :( But anyway the plan for my ears right now, barring lost beads and X-rays, is leave these rings in for a month or two, then switch up to a gauge thicker (to 16) and maybe half the diameter of these (I erred on the side of too big when I ordered them) and wait another couple months before switching the stainless steel out for gold. Figure a slightly bigger hole means less likely to struggle through the process of getting any kind of earring into these.
c) THIS SOUNDTRACK.

(Don't google that movie while at work, y'all.)
So... why a porn movie soundtrack? Um, because the music for said movie was probably one of the more fascinating collections of production music ever, and the commemorative booklet that's built into the CD case outlines the three or so year struggle the musical director had to track down and compile all of these songs. Seriously the story of his quest is pretty epic. Also production music is a fascinating thing just on its own. *sigh* At some point I'm going to have to devote an entire entry to Misty Beethoven and why exactly it's one of my favorite movies, period, but not tonight.
OMG OMG OMG WTF!, shit guys, that was probably one of the better season finales I've seen in a while and ehhhhhhhh, respectively. I feel like this season's been rolling in neutral since What Happened In Episode 2. Still... there's this, which made me snarf my coffee yesterday morning:
There, quick and dirty all caught up. I'll fill in the stuff I missed later but I can at least stop stressing about my failure to record the bigger things because Minecraft.
