Woke up this morning and grabbed myself a gun to find it was about 80 degrees already with about 90% humidity.
MELTING. MEEEEEELTING OH WHAT A WORLD WHAT A WORLD
Seriously, it's the end of July. Summer certainly took its sweet time getting here. Hopefully it won't stick around until November or something.
Still, blecch.

karnythia: Uhura is not a white woman.
rawles makes a fantastic point on why it actually is empowering to have Uhura in a relationship with Spock in the new ST movie.
It's apparently That Time Again, and I'm at a loss for something to say this time around, mostly because OMG GET SHIT TOGETHER has eaten my fragile little mind so I'm going to screen comments and ask for y'all to send me questions or a topic to write about, and I'll do so tonight or tomorrow.

Blue Food Dye Treats Spine Injury in Rats
I don't know, the blue ratty's adorable and all, but the thing that caught me was the random fact that there is no overlap between food science and pharmaceutical science. Interesting...

Picasa has warped my fragile little mind.
Jul. 29th, 2009 11:24 pmGeotagging may be the Next Big Timewaster® *sigh* like I needed one of those! But still it is kinda neat to get a google map with a little pointer showing each and every location around New York I've taken a picture.
It's funny, as I get better at weilding the Hatemonger, the more critical I am of past pictures. I can see the mistakes now - over exposed here, white balance off here, ISO too high there, lol. During the museum trip I gave up in a couple places and used the automatic settings. It feels like cheating, even though it saves time like whoa.
And then
cell23 goes and links me to cooliris. Because I need a reason to vigorously hump my monitor. Thanks a lot, sweetie. :/
Well if anything, at least I'm getting this overabundance of .jpgs on my hard drive organized. Sorta.
Time to put the cat away, grab a snack, then fire up South Park and get some work done.
