Nano-bead-mo?
Oct. 27th, 2013 12:58 amI finally finished the small QR code I was working on.

I confirmed it scans, even with the slight stretching that happens with these beads. :)
For being so small this one took a dogs age to finish. Unsure why? maybe because I kinda lost interest in it halfway though but I couldn't really not finish it. Then there's the question of what to do with it, as it turns out it's a few hairs too big for a pendant or a keychain. I may just cut off the loop at the top and restyle it as a patch.
Moral of story, or things learned by this project - standard black and white QR codes are boooooooooooooooring to bead, though kinda weirdly neat when finished. If I do them again they're going to have to get sexed up a bit somehow. I also may consider getting 15/0 size beads next time, just for the sake of size.
But onwards.
I've been itching for The Next Big thing for a bit, and seeing as Nov 14 will be a year since starting the Tetris Dance, I would like to get the next thing started around that time. While considering that, I remembered that November, and therefore Nanowrimo are soon, but since every time I attempt to do NaNo it tends to fizzle within the week, I'm not even trying to do that. However, since I'm using the counters anyway, this might be the perfect time to get some marathon beading in, especially since I have no intention of the next screenshot project taking eight freaking months. It's unlikely that I'll finish it within November (I like my hands and don't want them to fall off), but the discipline of getting some of it done every night will be good for me.
As for what I'll be doing, not quite sure. Thinking maybe one of the Game Boy Castlevanias, but what, I'm not sure yet. I need to sit with Spriter's Resource for a bit and hash something out.
Beadfrenzy is coming.
