Just letting yall know im not dead. Dad's ok all things considered; his speech is far less confused and sounds normal if a little sedated. The only way you can really tell somethings really wrong is that he'll stop mid sentence because he's lost words. i'm on deck to hang out at Mount Sinai with him tonight, which i'm okay with. There's internet here as i suspected.
I havent spent a whole night in the hospital since Medical Drama 2008 parts I and II. I still hold that between the vitals, the hallway noise, the call and monitor bells, the nurses coming in and out that they are perhaps the least restful places ever. Still, better in a chair than in the bed for sure, even if you can raise and lower all the bits.
So i'm here watching msnbc while dad dozes, being alternately enraged by Sarah Palin and listening to the bits of MLK speeches they keep replaying. I'm too tired to say anything pithy on either, but yeah.
