Right that's over with.
Things are hectic in the MA right now so I'm not really posting, just putting up a note saying I've indeed escaped New York. Today I'm confronted with the dread-like knowledge that there aren't enough hours in the day and not enough NOS to get what needs doing in those few hours alloted within each. But I must try anyway.
Also the quote on Ruthy's bathroom wall that I've been staring at all week:
"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."
-- Calvin Coolidge
Message aside (though it is indeed one I need very badly to take to heart) I just really like the phrase "educated derelict."
It's good to be home. And now for the six billion item to-do list of doom. *sigh*
