Regarding that aforementioned accident on 116 earlier: Sunderland pedestrians hit in crosswalk
Turns out I know both people, one reasonably well, the other is in my monkeyspace.
...I'm going to go hug my teddy bear, do some of that there praying/positive energy/hitting up the great To-Whom-It-May-Concern for both of them, and try to stave off my own oncoming traffic twitchies now...
