anagramofbrat | Nonsensical ramble

Having a quiet day in today. Pretty much the only things on the agenda are picking up my room and going to PF, if its open. And putting in some work hours too. I'm currently procrastinating by putting beeswax into my dreads - they've gotten kinda neglected and out of control over the summer. Nothing really on tap for tonight other than House or Ladies Night.

I'm still all agog by the fact that I can entertain thoughts like "fuck I need breadcrumbs" and realize I CAN totally just hop in Hanzo-san, drive down the road and fix that without it being a huge ass hassle. See also Atkins. Or the Gym. Or if I take it into my head to drive to the City at 3am I, you know, CAN. (not that I ultimately did, but it was a thought.) I am also now completely impervious to things like "Holiday Schedule" and "No Bus Service Holiday." This is intensely weird for me. Also incredibly liberating.

I just reread Banana Sunday. I'd forgotten how damn cute Colleen Coover's drawing style is. I also find it incredibly amusing that I was introduced to both her and Phil Foglio by reading their porn comics first... which reminds me, I finished the first book of Girl Genius too and need to return it to aersi. I also need to start collecting it on my own, that was fantastic. Oh, steampunk.

I was really amused by a post to Weird Al Yankovic's twitter about spending today appreciating Chris Columbus. You know, the guy who directed Home Alone, Adventures in Babysitting and the first two Harry Potter movies. Tee hee, I should keep that in mind for next year.
