This is where I'd like to formally complain that nothing sensical rhymes with "October." Except "sober." And when you're trying to come up with a birthday related parody of "Remember, remember the fifth of November," "sober" ain't really the sentiment I want to go for.
Kidding aside, I'm honestly not really sure I want to do for the birthday this year. I feel like I should do something, especially since due to a rather fabulous near death experience about that time last year I didn't do much traditional celebrating outside of "I FEEL FANTASTIC AND I'M STILL ALIVE" (except not so much on the fantastic). But I don't much feel like thowing a party really, especially since a couple weeks before that Cara and I are having the Muppets party. I won't say no to cake though, 'specially since due the aforementioned freshly sprung from hospital, I didn't get one last year. But yeah... I don't know. I'll be 31... and other than indeed being still alive and here after everything (which, actually, is pretty bloody well worth commemorating)... yeah. Not sure what else. And other than a buttload of money to drop out of the sky *grin* I'm not really sure I want or need anything in particular either. I'm pretty good right now, or at least I will be once the car stuff gets straightened out.
I think what I may do is take the day off (since it's a Wednesday), drive over to Leverett (since it's so far away now, lol), hike up to the Peace Pagoda and chillax a while... then go home, have cake, kahlua and WoW/Mario Kart with whoever wants to play with me, and get petted and spoiled by the boyfriend until bedtime.
Yeah... that sounds like a good day. Course, it being a few weeks away, I'm open to suggestions. ;)
