  • Three pics for you tonight:

Found the camera charger! It was on my desk RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME this whole time. >_< The dumb, I kan has.

  • around 7pm I got a random text message inviting me out for ice cream. The texter identified themselves as [livejournal.com profile] extrajoker, so seeing as I was just at that moment figuring out how to dispense with my evening, a lovely jaunt down to N'hamp was had. Ultimate cookies and cream was summarily had and destroyed, lol. I can already tell the sugar reduction is good for me, as I'm now holding a too much sugar at once headache at bay, lol. Thus a lovely half an hour was killed with The Great Punster herself. (Oy. "Fribblous." Oy.)

  • I love getting catalogs in the mail, especially catalogs I will never order anything from in a million years (if anything, they're great collaging material). Usually things like Design Toscano are good for a tacky laugh or two... today I got one called Touch of Class... Oh my god. They should have named it "So You Want To Be A Parisian Madam Circa 1895." Wow. Just wow. (That said, I do kinda like this set... SO I LIKE SQOOSHY SATIN SHEET SETS I'M A GIRL AND SOMETIMES I LIKE MY BED TO BE PRETTY OKAY)

  • I really REALLY need an external drive. I was combing through my hard drive today and discovered like five or six series I'd downloaded a year ago and forgot about (currently Handbraking the ones I still want to watch so I can stick them on the Preciousssss and dumping the ones I don't intend on finishing). Plus [livejournal.com profile] cell23 won't shut up about Doctor Who lately, so I think I may have to start watching that in self defense. Granted that shouldn't be too much of a chore, as I've liked every single episode I've managed to catch so far, but I'm also hesitant to start it as I'm the crazy wench that will want to go back and watch it from the beginning. Yeah, like back to the First Doctor (what's still left of those eps, anyway.) But I digress. Either an external, or some kind of backup system so I can dump a whole lot of shit off my main drive. Something for the List of Stuff Andee Needs to Save For, I suppose.

  • Money sucks. Really starting to wonder what the going rate is around here for chubby weirdofreak nymphos. You know it's bad when you start idly wondering if the Whately Ballet is hiring, lol. No... honestly, with the amount of work that got dumped in my lap in the last week and even more coming down the pipe, I know I'll be okay by the end of February - it's just getting through the next two months that has me stressing a lot.

  • Heading down to NYC this weekend to ransom my Christmas present from Dad and see a few folks. holler if you want some Andee love.

Shower and snuggle into bed now I think...

I have all of the Doctor Who relaunch on DVD except for the recent specials if you wanted to take a look.

It occurs to me that you and the wo-man would be ideal candidates for the UNIT game I plan on running later this year...

DWAITAS of course. I am a big believer in using the system that's made for the setting specifically.

I haven't taken a look at that system yet, do you have it? Modern Myths sold out and I want to flip thorugh it before ordering a copy through Off The Wall.

I have a PDF I can put on a stick for you to peruse. It's a pretty good system, the only thing I would change is their estimates of difficulties for skill resolution. Initiative and Story Points are the aspects of it I like best:

Initiative does not treat all actions as equal, but instead parses out initiative in distinct segments based on the action performed. Talking happens before Running, which happens before Doing (actions which are not Fighting), and then Fighting. As in the modern run of Who, fighting is always the last resort because you always get a chance to talk your way out of it, run away, or fiddle with a gadget first.

Story points are the narrative currency of the game, used to mitigate dice results and activate special traits as well as influence the story directly. Players can also regain Story Points through deliberate failure - a Companion trips and falls, or accidentally imprints their hand on the Genesis Ark, or deliberately fails a resistance to possession - which propels the story and allows for later manipulation of the plot by the player.

I also like the notion of compared simplified tests. Let's say the Doctor is trying to talk his way out of being shot by a Cyberman. Assuming this was not a crucial scene, such as the climax of an episode, you would boil it down to the Doctor rolling a Persuasion check against the Cyberman's Marksman check. If the Doctor has a higher result, he talks his way out of it. If the Cyberman rolls higher, it shoots the Doctor.

Ok I LOVE that bedding, both sets, and that's what my bed will look like when I'm older :)

And the going rate is $200 for an hour shoot if you can handle what I'd do to you on camera ;)

I'd pay waymore than 200$ an hour to see the 2 of you..do pretty much anything on camera together..literally, you could be cuddling and reading a phone book..*shrug*

I may have to take you up on that next time I'm out Ohio way. ;)

My favorite catalog experience still has to be finding the vibrators page in the Vermont Country Store catalog, between the page for arthritis cream and the one advertising huge frumpy flannel nightgowns.
