Why don't I have that song again? I may not agree with the idea of Sunday morning being easy but the song itself is classic.
Anyway I've been up since obscenely early today. Not quite as obscenely early as I would have liked ( Suds opens at six; I didn't get there until 7:15) but cosidering that the interior of my car is completely denuded of papers and other miscellanea (dear fates I abhor having a messy car) and the laundry is now drying, I can't say that the effort expended to drag my carcass out of bed at such a horrific hour was wasted.
Other than the satisfaction of getting things done I was rewarded in my efforts by Sunday morning itself. I forget that the most peaceful time of the week anywhere is often Sunday morning being that most of the world has better things to do, like sleep, church or family. This morning I stepped outside to a very light snow, a riot of morning birds, a thickening smell of spring, and not a blessed thing else, which made me kinda want to drop the staggering load of laundry I was carrying and go for a hike, which y'all know I don't do unless I've temporarily lost my mind. Still note to self I've been staring at this large hill directly in front of my apartment for well over six months now; it's more than high time I went to explore it. Possible something for next weekend, along maybe with paying a visit to Sugarloaf soon too. I like the tops of things, it's just the getting there that's the problem. *chuckle* as in art, so in life.
off to pour more coffee into me before going to collect a pile of warm cleanliness.
