So um, apparently cloves are illegal now?

I'm torn. I'm not a fan of smoking on general principle, but I'm really not sold on this whole "gateway" theory of drugs and tobacco use. It seems dumb in this case especially since they left the menthol cigs alone, probably to stave off complaints by Big Tobacco (and protect their profits from niche market manufacturers). And I admit, while I don't smoke them myself, I absolutely love the way cloves smell... my little goth heart is weeping.

One more thing out of many to pout about today, I guess.

What I find particularly retarded about this one is that, in my observation, clove smokers are almost always light, social smokers...and moreover won't touch regular cigarettes.

Djarum is apparently retooling to make them cigarillos, or some such, which gets through the gaping cigar loophole.

I do not smoke, but I have never seen a "starter" smoker start with cloves. And I do like the smell better than that of regular tobacco. I'd rather have seen the menthol go away -- those, from what I see, really ARE gateway cigarettes.
