At least I did something productive with the rage and spent the last three hours vacuuming the entire house and scrubbing the ever loving shit out of the kitchen and the bathroom. This included attacking the microwave (dear gods I don't want to even think about the caramelized filth I just scraped off the inside of it), coffee pot, toaster oven and the new-to-me bread maker with brillo and a sponge. I am now sweaty and filthy and frankly still angry at everything and everyone, but satisfied. And I got a lot of cleaning done that I've been meaning to do for weeks, I just apparently needed to get pissed off enough to actually get it done.

I did at least realize why when my mood sours I generally respond by wanting to clean the shit out of things. Generally when I feel this shitty there's an element of feeling out of control, and cleaning is clearly my way of establishing my dominance over at the very least, my space. I AM ANDEE DESTROYER OF FILTH, THIS SPACE IS CLEANSED BECAUSE I WANT IT SO, etc. etc. Right now I'm feeling super out of control for various and sundry reasons... but hey, my house is SPARKLEH. Well, not the tile bits of the floor, that'd require a mop, but there's only so sweaty I'm willing to get in the pursuit of making myself feel better especially as its shaping up to be another hot as Vulcan's anus sort of day.

Showernau.

rage induced cleaning....see i normally get cleaning induced rage...I cant stand to clean when I am angry...it sure would be productive if I did.

My cleaning sprees tend to be induced by procrastination rather than rage. Needless to say, my floor is immaculate, and my shelves are flush and alphabetized.

I hate flush shelves. I see their point in libraries, but I like having the space in front of my own books to put things on like action figures.

The figurines and plushies get their own shelves >.>

awful waste of space I still think. Also leftover ex OCD triggers.

OCD FTW, and it seems to be progressing as I age. Caught myself going over my posters with a level a few weeks back.

well that's cause crooked posters are of the devil.

And an inefficient use of wall space! Between Megami Magazine and Nyantype, I've been having a harder and harder time finding space for new ones without resorting to using the ceiling.

lol. Yes, being pissy is at least good for getting some cleaning done. I can't help but think of the scene in "The Emperor's New Groove" (which is just about my favorite Disney movie ever) when the wife gets so angry that she just /has/ to go wash the dishes.
