I started a ramble on why I'm rather happy about how Hey, Mr. Bossman has Rock 102 blasting out of the office stereo and has been all day, but it got seriously tl;dr. The essential points are that classic rock stations inevitably remind me of playing Rock Band, the ex (thankfully one of the few not soul-crushingly horrible ways), and the amount of time I spent with the siblings' forgotten record collections growing up. So overall it's a happy thing, though I'm all O_O that the station is now playing "Burning Down The House." Um. I'm a wee bit uncomfortable with songs that were made after my threshold of memory start being reclassified as "classic." Talk about an AAAAAAAAAGH I'M GETTING OLD moment.
In other news, glad I came in today. I am successfully hiding from the heat in my icebox of an office (though the 40 degree temperature differential is giving me the usual raging headache) and for once I'm glad last Friday's check is late considering had it gone in on time it wouldn't have reflected a full timecard. So I might actually manage to pay for my oil change tomorrow barring further financial fuckery.
Oh yeah, I brought Doctor Who with me, I should watch those - oh wait, after "Immigrant Song." AAA-AAA-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-AAAAAH!
