anagramofbrat: (fuck you)
So guess whose pap smear came back "mildly" abnormal?

Because apparently I can has no end to the reproduction-related drama.

I was having such a good day too. FML.

Do you have to have a colposcopy? I've had one. Not terribly pleasant but not too terrible, either.

And may I just say that I've undergone too many procedures that begin with col- and end with -oscopy? I mean, seriously...

I understand. Believe me, I understand.

Having said that, nearly every year since I was around 19 my pap smear comes back "mildly abnormal", so they make me come back and do it again, and that one is normal. Seriously, the Hobbit even knows about it and for going on two decades now we just shake our heads at message on the machine that tells me I have to go back...

This is pretty common. I had this happen once. All they usually do is re-test and then it comes back normal. I really wouldn't freak out about it at this point in time.

I've had 1-2 come back initially abnormal over the years, but further testing turned up nothing. Don't worry about it until you get a confirmation.
