Okay, I'm doing this one a day early because HOLY CRAP SOMETHING I DIDN'T KNOW AND IT IS AWESOME.
Day 06. A song that reminds you of somewhere
Okay, so the most obvious answer to this one was TMBG's "New York City." Cause, yes. Very Yes. So I was hunting for a good youtube of it to post, and found this instead:
TMBG's was a cover. My mind, it is blown, and I think I'm totally in love with these three adorable Canadian girls. Also their video captures exactly the New York City the song reminds me of, the one I left behind after graduating high school in 1996, when it was still kinda grungy and gorgeous all at once, before the towers were toppled and Guiliani helped turn it into a sanitized corporate big box fun fair. Like seriously, I'm hardcore homesick now, which sucks because the New York City I'm yearning for doesn't exist anymore.
Also I need to find more Cub. Did I mention they're adorable?
