The bad thing about perpetual apartment occupancy is very rarely do they let you paint, and bare white walls are a recipe for Andees going rather bugshit crazy.

That said, since I'm mentally gearing up for moving out of my current place at the end of summer, I'm not inclined to invest much in the improvement of it. I've got nebulous protoplans for the next one though depending on what we end up getting. In the meantime, one major project I may take a stab at once the weather warms up and settles down for real is refinishing/fixing the dresser I inherited from the last move, since it's a very pale wood and therefore matches none of the reasonably mid-toned furniture I've got. I've been meaning to do that since last year.
