It’s been decided. On October 20th, 2010, we will wear purple in honor of the 6 gay boys who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in their homes and at their schools. Purple represents Spirit on the LGBTQ flag and that’s exactly what we’d like all of you to have with you: spirit. Please know that times will get better and that you will meet people who will love you and respect you for who you are, no matter your sexuality. Please wear purple on October 20th. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and schools.

It necessitated emptying out the rest of my winter trunk to find the turtlenecks buried at the bottom, but I am indeed wearing purple right now. And two rainbow bracelets just for good measure. (And no pants, but that's cause I'm still getting dressed for the day.)

Also it just dawned on me that my phone is missing and has been since Saturday night, which should tell you how much I get calls. Do me a favor and if you have my # call and text the hell out of it until I find it? I'm thinking it's still in my purse from the wedding, but I can't seem to find that either.

(ETA: Found it, though not my purse. Hmmm.)
